Southern Hills Preschool Information

 

Hello!  Welcome to Southern Hills Preschool!  We offer two classrooms that you may choose from depending on your child’s development.  Tuition costs are the same for both classes.

 

Three and Four Year Old Room:  This class is for any three and four year old students who are potty trained and able to enjoy time with other students.  The class will focus on early reading skills, fine and gross motor development, beginning science and social studies concepts, Bible stories, creative expression and early math skills as well social development.

 

Four and Five Year Old Room (Pre-Kindergarten):  This class is for four and five year olds who are preparing for Kindergarten.  We will focus on the same topics as the three and four year old room but will cover them in more depth and will help students complete all goals as recommended before attending school.

 

Class schedule is below.  Please note that parents can choose whether their child naps or attends academic enrichment classes.  It is recommended that children preparing to go to kindergarten stop napping a few months before kindergarten to prepare for the all day schedule.

9:00 – 9:15             Calendar Time (Weather, Songs, Sign Language, Spanish)

9:15-  9:35              Mathematics

9:35-9:55                Language and Literacy

9:55-10:15              Science

10:15:10:30            Recess

10:30-10:45            Bible/ Devotions

10:45-11:05           Creative Arts

11:05-11:25            Social Studies

11:25-11:45            Group Activity/ Show and Tell (Wed.)

11:45                        Dismissal of Part Time Preschoolers

11:45-12:00            Bathroom Break/ Wash Up

12:00-12:30           Lunch

12:30-12:45            Bathroom Break/ Wash Up/ Lay out Nap Stuff
